New tax on deliveries to Jersey

Deliveries to Jersey will be subject to a new tax regime on the island. Orders delivered which exceed a value of £400 are subject to a "Goods and Service Tax" (GST) of 3%. of the value of the goods.

Customers ordering replacement filters for fridges and drinking water filter systems are unlikely to notice any change provided they don't stock up with too many on one order. With the average filter cartridge costing £20 or so, orders for around 20 cartridges or less will escape the new levy. And our fast delivery service means that customers can be sure of filter cartridges arriving swiftly and reliably, removing the need to order in bulk.

However, customers investing in Water Softeners and some Reverse Osmosis drinking water systems will be hit with the new tax which is payable by the customer to the island's Customs authority prior to delivery. Our WaterSource 3 Stage Reverse Osmosis System still only costs £314.42 with all Channel Islands residents enjoying VAT free purchases. The savings customers make by using water treatment in their home will more than outweigh the small extra cost in tax, and with rising fuel costs and green issues coming to the fore, there's never been a better time to invest in a quality water system.

When placing an order over £400 (including carriage charge) please let us have your GST registration number (if you have one), we can then give you an invoice number which you'll need for the Customs Authority.

Greens pick up Top Dealer award!

Top UK Water Softener Dealer Greens Water Systems scooped an Ecowater Top Dealer award for water softener sales. It's the 7th such award won by the Lincoln based firm in the last 10 years. "It's great to know that our efforts are recognised nationally" said managing director Jeremy Heath.

New premises on the way

At last the new building is taking shape with the floor slab about to be poured and the brick work well underway. The new premises are within our own 1 acre site and will provide over 7,000 square feet of space incorporating a new showroom, offices, assembly / packing area and plenty of warehouse space.

GE Merlin now in stock

The new light commercial reverse osmosis system from GE is now in stock. It's called the Merlin and features a direct to tap tankless system which produces high flow rates from ordinary mains pressure without pumps. It will be available to order online shortly, in the meantime please contact us.
