Reconditioned Domestic Water Softeners

Where do they come from?
Our reconditioned systems are generally trade-ins or ex-rental units which have become available because the original user changed or upgraded their system. Maybe because of a house move, a new kitchen or a change in the size of the household. Or because the owner just fancied upgrading to a newer system with features not available on the older unit.

What condition are they in?
We take the process of re-conditioning our water softeners and other equipment very seriously. It's not a quick check and a wipe with a damp cloth!
Only models which meet our strict criteria of age, condition and quality are deemed suitable. Every unit is completely disassembled to component level, all wear parts and seals replaced with new, and everything cleaned, lubricated and re-assembled. All water softeners over three years old have the ion exchange resin replaced as a matter of policy. We have an exhaustive testing procedure and a 47 point check which must be passed before the machine is given a new serial number and declared ready for sale. It's then packed for transit with new hoses and installation kit, a user manual (which may be a photocopy) and warranty registration card. Although there may be cosmetic imperfections consistent with their prior use, we expect our reconditioned units to peform perfectly and give many years of reliable service.

What's the guarantee?
We offer our own "cast iron" return-to-base warranty for 12 months against mechanical defects.

How much do they cost?
The cost depends on the age, make and model. A top brand single cylinder domestic softener, say 8 or 10 years old, with an electro-mechanical timer
control will cost around £270.00 including vat. This makes an economical yet high quality alternative to a new machine from a budget range made with much poorer quality components. A newer machine, say between 3 and 5 years old would typically cost around 60% of it's original price, say upto £600 or so depending on the exact age and model. For many this is an excellent way of acquiring a top quality water softener whilst saving hundreds of pounds.

Please contact us with your requirements, we're happy to tell you what's available or to let you know when something suitable arrives.
