Water Softener Servicing
Service and Repair options from £59 + PARTS
|
Water
Softeners don't need servicing do they? |
|
Water Softeners are one of the least troublesome
and most reliable of all domestic appliances, and perhaps because
of this they are often the most neglected. Like any mechanical device,
your water softener will benefit enormously from a modicum of care
and attention to keep it working at peak efficiency. This also helps
to avoid the inconvenience of a breakdown. Simply stripping, cleaning
and lubricating the internal control valve mechanism helps to keep
the system running smoothly, which in turn reduces wear and strain
on other parts, particularly the motor.
Manufacturer's advice varies but most recommend
regular servicing, with many suggesting an annual service. As softeners
get older, naturally there is more chance of parts wearing out and
repairs being required. We have a range of service
maintenance plans, suitable for machines of all types and ages.
We're also available for ad-hoc servicing and repairs - you don't
have to be an existing customer.
We offer "on-site" service across the whole
of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and East Yorkshire in the UK.
| What
if I live outside your area?
|
|
We can still help. We may be able to get one
of our engineers to you depending where you live, although we don't
have national coverage. The lead time may be longer for calls outside
out normal area, and there would be extra costs incurred for travelling
(although we would endevour to divide this between a number of service
calls in one area). Please ask for further details. We supply spares
worldwide by post for you to fit yourself if this is appropriate.
Alternatively, you could send us your softener , or bring it to our
workshop to be serviced / repaired / re-conditioned (please phone
first to book in, so we can make an engineer available when you come).
As an alternative, we could arrange for a local company to contact
you, although their pricing and service will be different to ours.
| What
Makes of softeners do you service?
|
|
Greens Water Systems specialise in the repair
and servicing of almost all residential and commercial water softeners.
We are independent of any manufacturers. The following list is just
some of the more popular systems we can service but is by no means
complete:
Permutit, Ecowater, Tapworks, Aqua-dial, Waterside,
Kinetico, Culligan, Fountain, Myson, Permo, Bruner, Bruno, Houseman,
Cuno, Pennant, Liff, Salamander, Ewatec, Crown, Monarch, Twin Tec,
Mini-Max, Homewater, Calmag.
| What
if you don't have the spares for mine?
|
|
We carry large stocks of spare parts for most
water softeners, including some so-called obsolete models. Where new
spares are unobtainable we may be able to offer suitable used parts
to keep an older system running. If no spares are available, your
options include upgrading the whole control valve, or changing the
machine. We sell a full range of replacement control valves as well
as water softeners to suit all households - both new and reconditioned.
We are a local family firm offering personal
service and impartial advice. We have over 12 years experience and
a wealth of technical knowledge. Our transparent pricing policy and
value for money service contract options are especially popular as
customers know exactly what our labour charges will be up front. All
our work is guaranteed for one full year.
| What
information will you need?
|
|
When you call, we will need your name, address
and other details, the make and model of your water softener, it's
approximate age and some idea of the problem if known. This helps
to make sure we arrive suitably equiped to deal with the specific
problem, and helps to make sure we can complete the job on the first
visit.
We will try to give you an appointment at
the first available opportunity. The lead time depends on where you
live and what existing appointments we have booked in your area. We
aim to be able to attend within 10 working days of your call. We cannot
enter into an exact time of day, but work on an AM/PM basis. If you
need to go out, we can avoid any particular times that would be inconvenient.
| But
I'm out at work all day!
|
|
Customers who know us well often have no hesitation
in leaving a key with a neighbour. Alternatively, we can often arrange
an evening or weekend appointment by request.
| Will
you come when you say you will?
|
|
We have an excellent record for attending
appointments within the agreed time frame and it would be very unusual
for us not to honour an appointment. Occasionally however, previous
jobs may take longer than expected, or we may be affected by circumstances
beyond our control. In these situations we endevour to keep you fully
informed of the situation, and the likely arrival time. In exceptional
circumstances we may need to re-schedule the visit for a different
day. We know this can sometimes be frustrating, and we do everything
possible to avoid it.
| How
much will it cost in total?
|
|
For "ad-hoc" servicing or repair,
our site visit and first hour's labour charge within our "on-site"
area will total £59.00 inc vat. The cost of parts required will depend
on the make, model and age of your machine and also on what we find
the problem to be. Your engineer will keep you fully informed of the
cost of any parts fitted. You stay in control.
