Water Testing

Who are you?
Greens Water Systems are the area's leading independent water systems suppliers. We install most leading brands of water softeners and drinking water filters. We have thousands of loyal customers and an excellent reputation.

Why have you delivered a water testing pack to me?
We are offering a free water test to local residents to help identify and highlight the characteristics of water in the area and it's suitability for different purposes. We aim to raise public awareness of water quality issues and the various forms of treatment which are available.

But why me?
Your neighbourhood is one of the areas where we have lots of customers already. We believe this is due to the characteristics of the local water, and because people in the area are receptive to our message about good quality water in the home.

How did you get my name and address?
We only use information from public records. We never buy mailing lists, nor will we pass your details to any other companies.

But I don't want a water test, free or otherwise.
That's fine, simply leave your sampling pack on the doorstep for collection. We recognise that for some people water quality issues are a lower priority than for others. Thank you for taking the time to read this information, we're sorry to have troubled you.

Why are you offering free water testing ?
Although mains water must comply with stringent European Standards for quality, even water meeting these standards is not always perfectly suited to individual requirements or specific uses. Greens Water Systems recognise that a "knowledge gap" exists in relation to water supplies, water quality and treatment methods. We aim to provide information to the public about water use in the home, and the technology which exists to improve it. Our programme of free local water testing helps us to meet these objectives, whilst building a rapport with those likely to benefit most from our expertise.

Are you licensed for water testing by the Health Authority or Water Supply Company?
The field testing we carry out utilises proprietary test reagents, the results are for general information and guidance only. There is no regulatory structure in place which covers this type of work. However, we also offer laboratory testing of water samples for specific contaminants, using the most technically advanced analytical equipment in accredited laboratories. We charge for this service, which is mainly used by our commercial and industrial clients.

What will you test the water sample for?
The standard tests we use include Total Hardness (as CaCo3), Total Dissolved Solids (conductivity), and Total Free Chlorine. We have field test reagents for many more contaminants, so if you have a specific interest we'd be pleased to help.

How do I get the results?
Please allow several days for the results to come through. As soon as we have them, we'll phone you with a view to calling in to discuss the findings in detail. This provides an ideal opportunity to ask any questions about water quality, and highlight any concerns you have. If there are specific issues to address, we can demonstrate and quote for a suitable system to solve the problem - but only if you ask us.

Will you send a pushy salesman?
NO!. You will be visited by one of our time served Water Treatment Professionals. We are in the business of education and providing information. Naturally, we're always keen to make sales, so if you express interest in our products we'd be happy to provide a detailed quotation for your consideration. However, for the most part, if we leave you with a positive impression of our company, and knowing a little more about water and it's treatment in the home, we will consider it a job well done.

Why should I pay for a water treatment system when I already pay the water supply company?
If you're happy with your mains water, the simple answer is that you shouldn't. However, there are many aesthetic improvements which can often be made, as well as cost savings. For example a water softener should pay for itself within the first few years of owning it due to lower household bills. A drinking water filter can save you a small fortune if it means you no longer need to buy bottled water. The exact benefits depend on your water analysis and your personal circumstances. This is where you need expert advice.

Why should I trust your company?
As we stated above, we are the area's leading independent water systems suppliers. Nearly half of all orders come as a result of referrals from existing satisfied customers. This is something we're very proud of. It's not easy to express a philosophy on a web page, but to get a feeling for the type of company we are, why not take a look around the rest of our web site. Read what other customers say about our products and the services we provide. Why not ask your neighbours and friends - you may well know someone who already uses one of our systems. At least 100,000 people use water from our systems on a daily basis. Additionally, you may consume water from systems supplied or maintained by us in frozen foods, soft drinks, beer, or if you visit schools, hospitals or even prison!
